Paid or unpaid employment of tourists in Brazil is strictly prohibited.

ABOUT TOURIST VISA

- Citizens of the following countries do not need a visa to enter Brazil for tourism purposes, and a stay of up to 90 days (except Venezuelans for a stay of up to 60 days): 

Andorra, Argentina, Austria, Bahamas, Barbados, Belgium, Bolivia, Bulgaria, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Croatia, Denmark, Ecuador, France, Finland, Germany, Greece, Guatemala, Guyana, Honduras, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Macau, Malaysia, Monaco, Morocco, the Netherlands, Namibia, New Zealand, Norway , Panama, Paraguay, Peru, the Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Russia, San Marino, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Suriname, Sweden, Switzerland, Czech Republic,  Thailand, Trinidad & Tobago, Tunisia, Turkey, United Kingdom, Uruguay, the Vatican, Venezuela.

- First entry into Brazil must be no later than 90 days from the issuing date of the visa for the following countries: Angola, Bahrain, The Republic of Cape Verde, Qatar, The People's Republic of China, Cuba, Korea, Philippines, The Republic of Equatorial Guinea, Greece, Honduras, Jordan, Libya, Oman, Pakistan, Paraguay, Portugal, Taiwan, Tunisia, Kuwait, Japan, Indonesia, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Ghana, Nigeria, Gabon and Switzerland. The other countries may have its first entry any time after the issue of the visa and the 90 days validity will start from the date of first entry. HOWEVER, THE PERIOD OF STAYING IN BRAZIL IS AT DISCRETION OF THE BRAZILIAN IMMIGRATION AUTHORITIES.

- It is the responsibility of the applicant to make sure the application is lodged accordingly.

- The original visa allows for up to 90-day stay. One single extension of up to 90 additional days is possible, at the discretion of the Brazilian Immigration Authorities (DPMAF).

- An Embarkation/Disembarkation card, provided to all visitors by the Brazilian Immigration authorities (DPMAF), must be filled in and signed appropriately and submitted to immigration upon arrival and when leaving Brazil.


REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

1. Visa Application Form must be filled online at https://scedv.serpro.gov.br 

Applicants must follow the steps below:

. Fill in the form.
. Click "SEND" to receive your processing number and receipt.
. Print the receipt.
. Attach one RECENT PASSPORT SIZE photograph (colourful photograph with white background. DO NOT bring black and white photo or colourful background.). SIGN the receipt.
. Bring the duly completed and signed receipt, the required documents and passport to the Embassy. If the required documents are not complete, we will NOT accept advance submission.

The application form filled–out on-line is valid for one month only; if you apply after that period it will be necessary to fill-out another form.

2. Applicant's passport, valid for no less than 6 months (solied, damaged or defaced passports will not be accepted).

3. Original or photocopy of a valid return itinerary tickets.

4. Company letter stating that the applicant is regularly employed, indicating position and salary OR a bank statement indicating the available balance in your account as a proof of means of support during the applicant’s stay in Brazil.

5. International Certificate of Vaccination, where necessary. It's not compulsory, but we highly recommend to take the vaccination of yellow fever 10 days before date of departure.

· Payment of the consular fee of S$40 - Visa fee must be deposited at United Overseas Bank (UOB), account number: 116/310/925-0 - Embassy of Brazil.

* Note that deposit made at the Embassy of Brazil's account is non-refundable, and payment must be made only on the day application will be lodged, the nearest UOB branch from the Embassy is at Velocity @ Novena Square Shopping Centre. 

Also noted that, the receipt is only last for one month. If the payment has been paid in the month of July, it cannot be used for August application.

* On a reciprocity basis, different consular fee apply for citizens of:

Australia  S$70.00
Canada S$130.00  
Japan S$50.00  
Mexico S$40.00    
Nigeria S$130.00     

* Tourist visa for USA citizens is free of charge, however, USA citizens must pay a processing fee of S$280.00, in reciprocity for a similar fee charged by the US authority for processing all kinds of visa for brazilians. On the same basis, attendance of the applicant in person is mandatory.

* For applicants participating in conferences, seminars, artistic or sports events,  a letter from the organisers or an invitation is required to proceed the application.

* When applying through a travel agent, courier, friends, family member, an additional fee of S$40.00 will be charged.
