Grupo Brasil’s main goal is to bridge the community and enhance the Brazilian expatriate experience of living in Singapore.

"ALECRIM'S group" for children 0-6 years old

Alecrim Project 'This is a non-profitable Project organized by four Brazilian moms living in Singapore. Their goal is to bring the Brazilian culture and language to their children trough fun activities such as singing songs, story telling, arts & crafts with recycled materials and much more. The Project was originally created in Brussels by Carla Freericks and facilitated by Katcha Osorio a teacher and an art specialist.

Now, because of friendship ties with the group in Brussels, this Project was also launched here in Singapore and their first meeting took place in 3rd of March of 2008.

The two hour sessions are held twice a month and it is open for all Portuguese speaking kids from 0 to 6 years of age. Every child should be accompanied by an adult. There is an S$5 fee for every child and this contribution goes towards general costs such as function room rent, materials for activities and etc.
