Ambassador Paulo Alberto de Silveira Soares has officially presented his credentials to President S.R. Nathan on January 23, 2007. Ambassador Soares is married to Mrs.Luisa Goyena Soares and has two sons. He is a career diplomat and has occupied different positions in the Brazilian diplomatic service since 1968. Most recently he was Consul-General of Brazil in Cordoba, Argentina, and Minister Counselor at the Embassy of Brazil in Buenos Aires. Some of his previous assignments include the UK, India, Spain and Sweden.
