As part of the programme "Young Mineiros, Citizens of the World", sponsored by the Government of Minas Gerais State, twenty students from three distinct universities: Federal of Minas Gerais, Federal of Uberlândia and Federal of the Vale do Jequitinhonha, from the undergraduate courses of Computing Science and Electrical Engineering, took part in a study program in Singapore.

The group was led by Professor Edgard Lamounier Jr., PhD, from the Biomedical Engineering Coordination of Federal University of Uberlândia. The counterpart in Singapore was Republic Polytechnic which devised a program consisting of four weeks of classes based on specific case studies. The students were also introduced to cutting-edge technological solutions and had time to visit several locations of the country, the organisation and infrastructure of which left them quite impressed.

 The next edition of the magazine "It's Time for Brazil in Singapore", published by the Embassy of Brazil in Singapore will include an article portraying the group of "Young Mineiros". Pictures of the programme can be found in the link below.
